Pre-qualification Criteria of Security Agencies for Providing Security Services at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta

IIM CALCUTTA invites applications from intending security agencies in the prescribed format for pre-qualification of agencies to carry out Security, Fire & Safety Services at IIMC Campus, Joka, Kolkata. IIMC will short-list the agencies for the purpose of participation for the above Services. Required criteria for such short-listing are furnished below:

1. Annual turnover for the similar nature of business (security services) should not be less than Rs.1 (One) crore in average in the last three consecutive financial years.

1. Should have proper trade and professional license and a business establishment in Kolkata.
2. Should have minimum 100 (One Hundred) regular employees Ex-servicemen (EXM) under direct pay roll.
3. Should have experience and credentials for similar nature of work i.e. security services and Fire & safety providing appropriate security & safety coverage at IIMC Campus.
4. Operational experience for similar nature of work not less than 05 (Five) years in India (directly or through subsidiary).
5. The agency must have P.F. & E.S.I registration (Provide Copies of the same).
6. The agency should be able to deploy Ex-servicemen at IIMC Joka, Kolkata. The maximum age limit for Assistant Security Officer and Security Supervisors is 55 (fifty Five) years and for Security Guards it is 50 (Fifty) years on joining. The onus of replacing the security personnel from time to time above the prescribed age limit 60 (Sixty) years will be of the agency.

Intending agencies equipped with eligibility criteria as mentioned above are requested to furnish their details regarding their Company profile, Organization & manpower chart, Date of Incorporation, Years of experience, Operational plan, Credentials, Annual turn over details etc. As indicated in the application format given in the web site. The application forms can be down loaded from IIM website www.iimcal.ac.in (Tenders and Notices column) or may be collected from Purchase Section, IIMC.

The application formats duly completed in all respects giving the aforesaid information as per the Application Form & Schedules given below, is required to be submitted in a sealed cover super-scribing in the top left hand corner of the cover as "EOI - Application for Pre-qualification of tender for providing Security and Fire & Safety Services at IIMC Campus at Joka, Kolkata" addressed to Senior Administrative Officer (Purchase) IIMC, Joka, Kolkata 700104. Method of award of work:

Tender would be invited from the prequalified agencies, after short-listing.

Instructions to applicants:

1. Each page of the application shall be signed and sealed by a person having necessary authority to do so.
2. If the space in the format is insufficient for furnishing full details, such information may be given in separate sheets.
3. Applicants are required to furnish information against each item of the application. In case, certain item is not applicable, please write NA. Application containing incorrect and or inadequate information is liable to be rejected. In case of any information furnished by the applicant is found to be incorrect at a later stage, the agency is liable to be debarred from tendering / taking up any future work in the IIMC. IIM Calcutta reserves the right to verify the particulars furnished by the applicant independently, and also reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof.

The short-listed agencies will be intimated by e-mail/ post for purchase of tender documents accordingly. IIM Calcutta is no way responsible for non-receipt of intimation given through the above-mentioned method.

NOTICE INVITING TENDER

Sealed tenders in printed tender forms, as specified hereunder, are invited for the following work from the contractors as per particulars mentioned below. Sealed Tenders from experienced and reputed Service Providers are invited for “PROVIDING PHOTOCOPY SERVICES AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS INSIDE THE IIMC CAMPUS, JOKA W.E.F 1ST DECEMBER, 2015 TO 30TH NOVEMBER, 2017.”

The detailed Tender Documents can be obtained from the Office of the Senior Administrative Officer (Purchase), IIM Calcutta on payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) (Non-refundable) by Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Management Calcutta”, payable at Kolkata. 3. Annual Turn-over – Rupees Five Lakh or above.
4. Minimum 5 (five) Xerox machines in the name of the Firm/Vendor/Contractor.
5. Office should be located within 5 Km. from IIMC Joka Campus to meet urgent requirement and delivery.

Interested Service Providers may put bid document, complete in all respects along with Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) amounting to Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) by DD and other requisite documents in the Tender Box kept in the Office of the Senior Administrative Officer (Purchase) located in Administrative Building, East Side (Ground floor), Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Joka, Kolkata-700104 on 9th November, 2015 by 2.00 p.m. Tender received without EMD will be rejected straightaway.

The tender will be opened by the Tender & Disposal Committee on 9th November, 2015 by 2.15 p.m. in the presence of Tenderer or their authorized representative, if any. The tenders which are not supported with required documents, will be summarily rejected.

In case the last date of receiving/opening of the tenders coincide with a holiday, then the next working day shall be the receiving/opening date.

IIM Calcutta reserves the right to accept/reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof or may relax the criterion as per requirement.

(a) Supply of two Internet Lease Lines (at least 320Mbps (1:1) and 14 Mbps (1:1)) for three years through underground FO cable terminating to vendor’s MUXs. From MUX, UTP cable will be connected to Layer 3 switches of the institute LAN.

(b) Development, installation, commissioning and maintenance of modules for Payroll /PF /Pension/Income Tax/Loans & Advances and seamless integration with the existing FAAS.

(c) IIMC intends to enlist vendors for supply of IT related products and services for a period of three years (for orders upto Rs. 1.5 lacs per order).

Intending vendors are required to purchase tender documents for (a), (b) and (c) separately containing detailed requirements which may be obtained on any working day between 10-00 a.m. and 4-00 p.m. from the office of the Computer Centre on payment of non-refundable tender fee of Rs 2500/- for tender (a), Rs 2500/- for tender (b) and Rs. 250/- for (c) by demand draft in favor of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and payable at a Bank in Kolkata.

Outstation parties must send an application to reach within the last date specified. These must be addressed to the Chairperson, L&CSC, along with Demand Draft as mentioned above.

Offer must be submitted by hand at the office of the Computer Centre or by post to the Chairperson, L&CSC latest by 4.00 p.m., 2nd July, 2015.

The Institute reserves the right to modify the requirements and reject all the tenders, wholly or partly without assigning any reason thereof.

Quotations are invited from Book Suppliers for supply of Books and e-Books on “Operations and Supply Management (With DVD)” by Richard Chase, Ravi Shankar, F. Robert Jacobs, Tata McGraw Hill for Term-III course "Production & Operations Management". Following details are required while submitting the quotation:

1. Price per book.

2. Percentage of discount.

3. Expected date of delivery from date of closing of this tender.

4. Free delivery of books at the Institute preferably during working hours.

5. The excess copy of the above book will have to take back from the Institute.

6. Penalty will be imposed for failure of delivery on time

Please note that the Vendors will have to compulsorily submit the copy of the Procurement Invoice at the time of delivery of the book. A line of confirmation to this effect is to be given at the time of submission of quotation. For non-sub mission of copy of the Procurement Invoice at the time of delivery of the books, a financial penalty to the extent of 10% deduction on the final bill will be imposed.
