Pre-qualification Criteria of Security Agencies for Providing Security Services at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta

IIM CALCUTTA invites applications from intending security agencies in the prescribed format for pre-qualification of agencies to carry out Security, Fire & Safety Services at IIMC Campus, Joka, Kolkata. IIMC will short-list the agencies for the purpose of participation for the above Services. Required criteria for such short-listing are furnished below:

1. Annual turnover for the similar nature of business (security services) should not be less than Rs.1 (One) crore in average in the last three consecutive financial years.

1. Should have proper trade and professional license and a business establishment in Kolkata.
2. Should have minimum 100 (One Hundred) regular employees Ex-servicemen (EXM) under direct pay roll.
3. Should have experience and credentials for similar nature of work i.e. security services and Fire & safety providing appropriate security & safety coverage at IIMC Campus.
4. Operational experience for similar nature of work not less than 05 (Five) years in India (directly or through subsidiary).
5. The agency must have P.F. & E.S.I registration (Provide Copies of the same).
6. The agency should be able to deploy Ex-servicemen at IIMC Joka, Kolkata. The maximum age limit for Assistant Security Officer and Security Supervisors is 55 (fifty Five) years and for Security Guards it is 50 (Fifty) years on joining. The onus of replacing the security personnel from time to time above the prescribed age limit 60 (Sixty) years will be of the agency.

Intending agencies equipped with eligibility criteria as mentioned above are requested to furnish their details regarding their Company profile, Organization & manpower chart, Date of Incorporation, Years of experience, Operational plan, Credentials, Annual turn over details etc. As indicated in the application format given in the web site. 1. Valid PAN No. and Trade Licence.
2. 5 years experience of work in providing similar services to Public Sector Companies/ Govt. Departments/Research Organizations/Reputed Private Sector Companies etc.
3. Annual Turn-over – Rupees Five Lakh or above.
4. Minimum 5 (five) Xerox machines in the name of the Firm/Vendor/Contractor.
5. Office should be located within 5 Km. from IIMC Joka Campus to meet urgent requirement and delivery.

Interested Service Providers may put bid document, complete in all respects along with Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) amounting to Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) by DD and other requisite documents in the Tender Box kept in the Office of the Senior Administrative Officer (Purchase) located in Administrative Building, East Side (Ground floor), Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Joka, Kolkata-700104 on 9th November, 2015 by 2.00 p.m. Tender received without EMD will be rejected straightaway.

The tender will be opened by the Tender & Disposal Committee on 9th November, 2015 by 2.15 p.m. in the presence of Tenderer or their authorized representative, if any. The tenders which are not supported with required documents, will be summarily rejected.

In case the last date of receiving/opening of the tenders coincide with a holiday, then the next working day shall be the receiving/opening date.

IIM Calcutta reserves the right to accept/reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof or may relax the criterion as per requirement.

It will be obligatory on the part of Vendor/Contractor to execute the work as ordered by the concerned Departments of the Institute in a short notice and thereto make delivery to them, as per their directives and to the satisfaction of the Competent Authority. The quantity of work may vary depending upon the strength of student in each course/section.
