    NOTICE INVITING AUCTION OF SCRAP MATERIAL

    Indian Institute of Management Calcutta invites sealed quotation bids from intending agencies in their company’s head for sale of different type of scrap materials (Ferrous and nonferrous) extracted from old building and structures of its Campus at Joka. The scrap materials are presently stocked at various locations in IIMC Campus like Engineering Division Stockyard, Cement Godown, Store, around NF-3 Building, LVH Hostel and other locations.

    The different materials stocked are M.S. Scrap, scrap GI Tank, Scrap GI Pipes, Scrap CI Pipes, Scrap wooden frame & door, Scrap porcelen materials, Scrap brass fittings, Scrap aluminium fixtures, Scrap PVC fittings. Scrap electrical cable, tubelight and other electrical materials.

    Terms & Conditions:

    1. Bid against the above auction sale should be as is where is basis.
    2. Rates should be quoted for the entire stacked materials mentioned above. Part rate or conditional rates will be not be considered for acceptance.
    3. Caution money to be deposited along with the offer is 25% of the total offered value in the form of Bank draft drawn in favour of “IIMC Construction Works Accounts”.
    4. Without caution money no auction bid will be considered and the bid will be rejected summarily.
    5. Contract will be awarded to the highest bidder. However IIM Calcutta reserves right to reject any or all bids without assigning any reason thereof.
    6. Auction bid to be submitted in sealed envelope super scribing on the top “Auction sale of scrap materials in IIMC” and to be deposited in the tender box in the office of Advisor- Engineering Division, IIMC, Joka within 10.10.2017 (Received up to : 2 pm & Opened on 2.30pm)
    7. Balance amount of auction bid to be paid by the selected bidder within 5 days from the date of receiving the acceptance order from IIMC in the form of Bank Draft payable in favour of “IIMC Construction Works Accounts”.
    8. Failing on the part of selected bidder to deposit the balance amount within the specified date will liable themselves for cancellation of contract and in that case the caution money deposited against the auction bid will be forfeited in the credited of IIMC.
    9. Successful bidder should arrange the shifting of the auctioned materials immediately on receipt of the written order for such shifting and complete the full shifting at his own cost within 15 days from the date of written order from IIMC.
    10. The removal of scrap should be sequentially carried out from one end and to be continued to other.

    Inspection – 3 days ( 22.09.2017, 04.10.2017 & 06.10.2017) (2 pm to 4 pm)

    Intending bidders having adequate experience in the respective field and financial solvency are requested to visit the stack yard of IIMC Engineering Division to inspect the materials between 2-0 pm to 4-0 pm in above mentioned dates.

    This is to notify that for the tender floated on 9.8.2017 for Supply, installation commissioning, integration and maintenance of Network and Networking equipment (Approx. – 10 Nos. layer 2 switches, 50 Nos. Controller based Wi-Fi APs) and seamless integration with the institute LAN vide newspaper (Times of India and Telegraph) and our official website iimcal.ac.in the last date for submission has been extended by two (2) weeks with effect from from 25.8.2017. The last date for submission is to 8.9.2017.

    Annexure- A. Bidder’s Pre qualification Criterion

    Sealed tenders in two bid system (two separate envelopes - one for techno-commercial bid and the other for price bid) are invited from bona fide and experienced vendors having adequate credential in similar nature of work for the following jobs:

    Supply, installation commissioning, integration and maintenance of Network and Networking equipment (Approx. - 10 Nos. layer 2 switches, 50 Nos. Controller based Wi-Fi APs) and seamless integration with the institute LAN.

    Intending vendors are required to purchase tender documents containing detailed requirements. This may be obtained on any working day between 10-00 a.m. and 4-00 p.m. from the office of the Computer Centre on payment of non-refundable tender fee of Rs 2000/- (Rs Two Thousand only) by demand draft in favor of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and payable at a Bank in Kolkata. Bidders need to purchase the tender to participate in the pre-bid meeting.
