18th MBAEx Inauguration
On April 2024, 80 experienced professionals from diverse industry backgrounds joined the one-year residential MBAEx programme of IIM Calcutta - MBAEx Class of 2025. The inauguration of the new batch was held on April 26, 2024.
The inaugural theme was a quote by MBAEx Batch 4 alumnus – Ramaswamy: "From Job Seekers to Job Creators: Reimagining MBA in Contemporary India." The MBAEx inauguration had a line-up of 6 industry CEO-co-founders, whose work exemplifies the India growth story.

Ltd | Our esteemed alumnus from Batch 4 (Class of 2011) emphasized the pivotal role Batch 18 students would play in the national development journey of the Indian GDP. Ramas highlighted how his learnings from the MBAEx programme, including concepts like central limit theorem, continues to develop his different learning curves in his own journey post-MBA. | |
Prof. Ramendra Singh | Faculty from Marketing Group at IIMC | Prof. Singh delved into the Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP) context, illustrating with three compelling case studies. He highlighted the staggering statistic of 99% wealth as concentrated in the hands of only 45% of the population, problematizing concepts like prosperity polarization and reverse innovation. | |
Srinath Ravichandran | Co-Founder & CEO of Agnikul Cosmos | With a growing representation in MBAEx from ISRO, the inclusion of Mr. Srinath Ravichandran, was a nudge to the crowd and MBA schools to think through the managerial potential in space startups. |
