I had the opportunity to work in the SMG (Suzuki motors Gujarat) Greenfield project. I managed various plant utility projects (Compressed air system, fuel storage, transfer system, etc.) for the upcoming plant at Hansalpur, Gujarat. The implicit domain of my job role was Project planning and management, procurement and vendor management, Legal project compliance, Site and manpower management, Budgeting & Scheduling, etc.

Post VLM, I would like to be in consulting or operations and supply chain management, where I could merge leadership and managerial skills learned from this program with my prior work experience to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.
VLM Experience So Far
PGPEx- VLM program is an amalgamation of managerial, technical, and leadership training. The legacy and expertise of three premier Institutes, i.e., IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Madras, have broadened my vision of understanding various processes across any industry. The designed courses of this program have empowered me to understand multiple aspects such as financial, design, environmental, profit, welfare, etc., behind any industrial decision. Moreover, the cohort of 40 students with diverse professional backgrounds has been very beneficial for me. Through group assignments and projects, I learned teamwork and collaboration.

After completing my B.Tech, I moved to the US to pursue my Master's Degree in Automotive Engineering from Clemson University, USA. In my internship term, I got the opportunity to work at Faurecia, a global automotive supplier, and post my Master's, I joined Faurecia as a full-time Industrial Engineer. I worked in diverse portfolios during my six years with Faurecia, five years in the US, and one year in India and gained rich cross-functional experience in program management, NPD, and supply chain management. I got the opportunity to work on complete vehicle interior products right from acquisition to SOP, which widened my thought process and led a foundation for the upcoming projects. My interactions with executive management, their business insights, and strategic decisions motivated me towards business-facing roles and to pursue a leadership role in the industry. That was the time when I geared up and aimed to get into one of the finest & niche programs offered by IIM Calcutta, PGPEx VLM.
Post VLM Ambition
Post VLM, I would like to work in an organization that is progressive, performance-driven, and is based on strong ethical values, in which I will be able to continue my passion for Supply Chain Management and use my creativity and what I have learned so far to create the best processes and practices. It has been almost five months since the program kicked off, and I can experience the overall transformation that I am going through in this excellent course designed for future leaders. It has been four months already into the program. There is a strong data-driven and analytical focus here, especially in the core classes. VLM Experience So Far
VLM enjoys a unique curriculum, well-crafted and executed by three pioneer institutes in India. IIM Calcutta develops business acumen, product design, and development nuances are explained at IIT Kanpur, and courses related to the process improvement are taught at IIT Madras. Already four months into the Program, we have completed two terms at IIM Calcutta, wherein we have studied lot of core business courses such as strategic analysis, financial statements analysis, corporate finance, cost management, marketing, digital transformation, organisational behaviour, and human resource management to name a few. Now we are at IIT Kanpur and are studying several techno-managerial courses such as product design, advance material management, CIMS, Automation, etc. I am very hopeful for an enriching session at IIT Madras and then again back to IIM Calcutta. VLM program is very rigorous, hectic, and requires a lot of personal commitments, but it is well suited to address the leadership challenges in Manufacturing.
