TATA SOCIAL ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE 2013-14

The Tata Social Enterprise Challenge (TSEC) is a joint initiative of the Tata Group and IIM Calcutta to promote, nurture and mentor social enterprises creating/aiming to create an impact in the Indian social space. In this event our distinguished team of partners, business leaders, faculty members from IIM Calcutta and VC’s guide and mentor the participants to take their venture to the next level. This year’s event is also supported by namely Acumen Fund, Villgro, Ennovent, Yunus Social Business Fund and Ankur Capital.
Did you know that there are nearly 400 million people in India who cannot afford the basic needs of food, clothing, shelter, healthcare and energy? Solving these problems is essential to keep the story of IncredibleIndia alive. Have a solution to address any of these issues?
Organizations can participate in Tata SEC to win cash grants upto 4 lakhs INR, visibility in national media, a chance to be incubated at IIM Calcutta and an opportunity to pitch to the biggest social VC’s in India. Logon to www.tatasechallenge.org for more details.
The top 3 teams will receive cash grants of INR 1.75 lakhs, 1.25 lakhs and 1 lakh respectively. In addition the top 20 teams will get a chance to pitch to the biggest social VC’s in India and be incubated at the IIM Calcutta incubation centre.
