Notice Inviting Auction of scrap material

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta invites sealed auction bids in plain papers from intending agencies for sale of different type of scrap materials extracted from old buildings and structures of its campus at Joka. The scrap materials are presently stacked in IIMC campus at Joka site.

The details of materials with approximate quantities are furnished below:

Terms and conditions:

  1. Bid against the above auction sale should be as is where is basis.
  2. Reserve price of the above materials is Rs. 20.54 lakh.
  3. Rates should be quoted for the entire stacked materials mentioned above. Part rate or conditional rates will be not be considered for acceptance.
  4. Caution money to be deposited along with the offer is 25% of the total offered value in the form of Bank draft drawn in favour of IIMC Construction Works Accounts.
  5. Without Caution money no auction bid will be considered and the bid will be rejected summarily.
  6. Contract will be awarded to the highest bidder. However IIM Calcutta reserves right to reject any or all bids without assigning any reason thereof.
  7. Auction bid to be submitted in sealed envelope super scribing on the top “Auction sale of scrap materials in IIMC’ and to be deposited in the tender box in the office of Executive Engineer, IIMC, Joka within 10 days from the date of publication of the notice in the newspapers (ABP & TT)
  8. Balance amount of auction bid to be paid by the selected bidder within 5 days from the date of receiving the acceptance order from IIMC in the form of bank draft payable in favour of IIMC Construction Works Accounts.
  9. Failing on the part of selected bidder to deposit the balance amount within the specified date will liable themselves for cancellation of contract and in that case the caution money deposited against the auction bid will be forfeited in the credited of IIMC.
  10. Successful bidder should arrange the shifting of the auctioned materials immediately on receipt of the written order for such shifting and complete the full shifting at his own cost with 15 days from the date of written order from IIMC.

Intending bidders having adequate experience in the respective field and financial solvency are requested to visit the stack yard of IIMC Engineering Division to inspect the material between 2-0 p.m. to 4-0 p.m. in working days (Monday to Friday).

Intending bidders are requested to obtain a hard copy of this notice and submit the same along with his offer duly signed and sealed as part of offer.
