Documents to be Attached for Income Proof of Parents :

Please enclose the following documents for Income proof of parents along with the application: The documents submitted should show the GROSS TOTAL INCOME

  1. For employed (salaried) person, following documents are required:
    1. If annual income of the person is less than INR 2.50 Lakhs, certified copy of Income Tax returns (ITR-1, ITR-2 etc.) for FY 2022-23 (AY-2023-24) (preferable) OR Form-16 for FY 2022-23 (AY-2023-24) OR salary certificate from employer. Applicants are strongly advised to submit the ITR documents alone. Other documents may take more time to verify and attract greater scrutiny.
    2. If annual income of the person is INR 2.50 Lakhs or more, Form-16 for FY 2022-23 (AY 2023-24) AND certified copy of Income Tax returns (ITR-1, ITR-2 etc.) for FY 2022-23 (AY 2023-24).
  2. If the person is self-employed in business or in agriculture or in any other profession, following documents are required:
    1. If annual income of the person is less than INR 2.50 Lakhs, certified copy of Income Tax returns (ITR-1, ITR-2 etc.) for FY 2022-23 (AY-2023-24) (preferable). Applicants are strongly advised to submit the ITR documents alone. Other documents may take more time to verify and attract greater scrutiny.
    2. If annual income of the person is INR 2.50 Lakhs or more, certified copy of Income Tax returns (ITR-1, ITR-2 etc.) for FY 2022-23 (AY 2023-24).
  3. If the person is retired, following documents are required:
    1. If annual income of the person is less than INR 2.50 Lakhs, certified copy of Income Tax returns (ITR-1, ITR-2 etc.) for FY: 2022-23 (AY-2023-24) (preferable) OR pension certificate from employer. Applicants are strongly advised to submit the ITR documents alone. Other documents may take more time to verify and attract greater scrutiny.
    2. If annual income of the person is INR 2.50 Lakhs or more, pension certificate from employer AND certified copy of Income Tax returns (ITR-1, ITR-2 etc.) for FY 2022-23 (AY-2023-24).

Important: What you should know before applying for Need-based Financial Assistance

  • Applicant’s Gross Total Family Income in Financial Year (FY) 2022-23, i.e., Assessment Year (AY) 2023-24, will include applicant’s own income, income of his/her parents, brothers (if not married) and sisters (if not married). In case any of the above persons does not contribute to the family, applicant is requested to make an appeal with valid proof for the same.
  • If a family member including the applicant has multiple sources of income, all sources of income should be explicitly mentioned and valid proof should be given.
  • To avail this financial assistance, the applicant MUST submit all required documents to the relevant authority showing Gross Total Family Income in the FY 2022-23 (AY 2023-24). Income Tax returns (ITR-1, ITR-2 etc.) of previous year (i.e., FY 2021-22) will not be accepted as a valid proof. Applicant’s family member must submit Income Tax returns (ITR-1, ITR-2 etc.) for FY 2022-23 if the document is required based on applicant’s eligibility.
  • Since need-based assistance is provided on the basis of the Gross Total Family Income declared in the application form for need-based financial assistance, the applicants are responsible for the veracity of the information provided, and not the committee members who decide the list of eligible applicants. Any discrepancies found regarding the declared income and the actual income that may come to the notice of the committee in future will attract punitive action taken against the student concerned.
  • Please submit this form duly filled to the MBA Office (online) latest by 15th August, 2023 (by 10am).
  • In case you have any query, you are required to get in touch with concerned MBA official before the above deadline and get the clarification.
  • Applications received after the deadline of 15th August, 2023 (by 10 am) will not be considered.
  • In case any discrepancy is found in the information provided or non-disclosure of any information, punitive action may be taken against the applicant along with the cancellation of the assistance facility, and expulsion from the programme with immediate effect.
