IIM Calcutta commemorated its 64th Foundation Day on November 14, 2024, featuring the 35th Lecture in its Institute Lecture Series delivered by Dr. Ajai Chowdhry, CoFounder of HCL and Chairman of EPIC Foundation. His lecture focused on the theme, "India as a Product Nation: Navigating the Shift from Middle-Income Trap to Developed Nation".
During the event, three distinguished alumni were awarded the “Distinguished Alumnus” title in recognition of their significant contributions to their respective fields. To date, a total of 78 alumni have received this accolade. The 2024 IIMC Distinguished Alumnus Awardees included:
- Shri Sanjoy Mukherjee, IPS, Director General & Inspector General of Police (Apex Scale), West Bengal (23rd PGP Batch)
- Shri Sameer Gupta, Group Chief Analytics Officer & Managing Director at DBS Bank (30th PGP Batch)
- Shri Venkat Viswanathan, Founder & Chairperson of LatentView Analytics Ltd. (30th PGP Batch)
