The CEMS Block seminar titled "Embracing Energy Transitions: Challenges and Prospects" took place from August 22 to August 26, 2024, under the guidance of Prof. Runa Sarkar and Prof. Ankit Kumar. The seminar featured nine participants, predominantly composed of European CEMS students.
The program included insightful guest lectures from industry and academic leaders such as Mr. Kaushik Sanyal from Tata Power, Prof. Mrityunjoy Mohanty, Prof. Runa Sarkar, and Prof. Ankit Kumar. A key highlight was the participants’ visit to the CESC Budge Budge Power Generation Plant, where they gained practical insights into energy production processes. Additional visits included the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and the Switch ON Solar Pump Installation and Renewable Energy Training Centre, both crucial for understanding the integration of renewable energy solutions in local contexts.
