Associate – Incubation, Assam
IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP) invites applications for the position of Associate Incubation – Assam Hub. To promote entrepreneurship in the state, Assam government has decided to build a state-owned marquee incubator, Assam-Hub, in Guwahati to give a boost to the start-up ecosystem and support budding entrepreneurs by way of providing office space, mentorship, support services and other amenities. IIMCIP will be responsible for management and operations of the Assam-Hub.
The position of Associate – Incubation, involves a range of duties including creating partnerships with different stakeholders in the ecosystem, engaging early stage entrepreneurs, facilitating necessary support to the start-ups, building relationship with mentor pool, monitoring progress of start-ups, and setting up relationships with corporates and investors.
Requisite & Desirable Skills & Capabilities:
- Good command and capability in written communication (mainly English) with good presentation skills
- Good understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships with key stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem
- Demonstrated organizing skills
- Work experience with start-ups, investment firms or incubators will be preferred
- Other desirable traits include – independent handling of responsibilities with minimal supervision, good interpersonal skills, to be able to work in teams and deal with external partners, entrepreneurial mind-set to help get things done in a small and fast evolving organization, self-driven results-oriented mind-set
Qualification and Experience: Graduates / Post Graduates, with a good academic record from reputed educational institutions. Graduates with minimum three years / Post Graduates with minimum two years relevant experience would be preferred.
Compensation: Commensurate with the qualification and experience of the candidate
Location: Guwahati, Assam
Tenure: It is a contractual position for an initial period of two years and renewable thereafter subject to performance and organization’s requirement.

The position of Associate -Incubation, involves a range of duties including sourcing good quality startups, engaging early stage entrepreneurs, building relationship with mentor pool, assisting in investment decisions, monitoring progress of start-ups and managing the portfolio of start-ups.

Program Manager, Kolkata

IIMCIP, a not-for-profit (section 8) company, aims at promoting entrepreneurship and innovation through creation of a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem and helps innovative ideas transform into successful business ventures. Social Entrepreneurship is a focus area for IIMCIP and the incubation support offered to start-ups include workspace, mentorship and funding and market connect.The position of Program Manager involves managing end to end execution of large entrepreneurship development related programs that include scoping, scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder (e.g. alumni, corporate) communication, promotion of the program, coordination with partners, monitoring and control activities.
Requisite & Desirable Skills & Capabilities:
- Knowledge and expertise in conceptualizing, planning and managing implementation of large programs or business events is mandatory
- Good command and capability in written communication (mainly English), including creation of online content (website and social media), regular marketing material (brochures, posters, mailers, presentations, documents, press releases, etc.) and other strategic and tactical communication is also required.
- Proven knowledge & capability in working with computers (including comfort with basic tools like Word, PowerPoint & Excel) would be essential.
- Creative flair and an ability to quickly conceptualize, ideate and articulate are preferred traits.
- Understanding and exposure to marketing fundamentals would be desirable.
