KOLKATA: Direct selling FMCG firm Amway India has tied-up with the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, for a course focused on entrepreneurship and leadership for its high potential direct sellers.
This is the first time Amway has tied-up with a leading management institute for a special course for its direct sellers. It has also shortlisted 100 direct sellers who have demonstrated strong performance and business excellence over the past few years for this program, a company release said.
Amway India has been investing in skilling and nurturing entrepreneurship amongst its direct sellers. The company offers free training to them by conducting more than 18,000 training sessions in a year apart from a digital learning portal.
"While we have already developed and are executing a comprehensive training program for our direct sellers, we intend to do more such experiential programs to enable them to actualize their potential," said Achinta Banerjee, chief sales officer at Amway India.
Amway India general manager Anshu Budhraja said the tie-up with IIM Calcutta is focused on building skills and competencies of high potential direct sellers to help them compete in an evolving entrepreneurship landscape.
