IIM Calcutta held its 59th Annual Convocation on April 6, 2024. The event was attended by Mr. Uday Kotak, Founder of Kotak Mahindra Bank, as the Chief Guest. He delivered the 59th Convocation Address. The Chairperson of the Board of Governors, Shri Shrikrishna Kulkarni, and the Director-in-charge of IIM Calcutta, Professor Saibal Chattopadhyay, were also present.

A total of 468 students from the 2-year flagship MBA program, 76 students from the 1-Year MBAEx Programme, and all 60 students from Batch 7 were awarded their degrees. Additionally, 40 students from the Post Graduate Programme for Executives for Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing (PGPEX VLM) received their diplomas, and 15 students were conferred with their PhD degrees.

The ceremony commenced with the introduction of the Chief Guest and the presentation of the Annual Report by Professor Saibal Chattopadhyay, Director-in-charge of IIM Calcutta. Professor Saibal Chattopadhyay congratulated the graduating students and emphasized the institute's commitment to enhancing its teaching, learning, and research environment and academic infrastructure.
