Has served in the Indian Railway Service and Central Power Engineering Service of the Government of India for nearly two decades(1985-2006) in senior management positions of various bodies, including Director of the Research Design & Standards Organization of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. During my career,I have been involved in diverse activities such as design of power projects, operation and maintenance of electric locomotives & power systems, quality audit and certification, vendor development, project management, procurement and works contracts management and arbitration, development of technical specifications for major power and control equipments,corporate training, administration of technology transfer and R&D projects, etc. including development of operations research applications for optimal techno-economic design of power projects and railway operations.
My research interests are application of analytic techniques for planning, design and operations of energy, transportation and logistics systems.
